Hello guys, I just started my first portable and decided to build the Louii done by @GingerOfOz. Im not an expert on electronics so it will take time to do it, for the moment I just finish the board trimmed and I was checking the voltage base on this Guide - Wii Trim Resistances | BitBuilt - Giving Life to Old Consoles to find any shorts using the multimeter (first time using this tool) and I find a bit lower the numbers. Here is a picture of the board and the settings on the multimeter.

Board version is RVL-CPU-40 4layers

Any help will be great, thanks in advance

Couldn’t find the 1.8v so don’t have numbers for that one, I have been using this picture to locate the measure points voltage_alt_wide.png (1200×800) (bitbuilt.net) but doesn’t show the 1.8v.

1.8V can be found here. I really should update the image you linked.

To confirm, you are filling out the table with your black probe on the rail labeled on the left and your red probe on the voltage rail labeled on the top?

Also, you have your multimeter set to continuity. You should be measuring resistance using the section labeled with the Omega/Ohm symbol. To put it simply, each section will measure up to the specified amount (IE 200 will measure up to 200).

Hi, thanks for the quick answer. Yes im filling the table with the Black probe on the left and the Red on the top raíl.

This are my readings on the 1.8v from top to bottom 36,121,76 and 568 the only one looking low is the 1.8 vs 1.5 and I have retake the numbers again with the multimeter on 2k got same as the ones on the table.
