Question Help pls

hi me again on the question of soldering video out, I really don't understand and need some serious help with this, if I am wanting to solder component cables to Wii board but leave component plug at the other end how would I go about doing this, I have looked at diagrams but don't really understand them. Thanks for the help

Cut one end of the cable off. Strip off the outer coating.

Move the copper pieces into a single strand away from the inner wire.

Strip the internal wire to the desired length.

Tin both wires seperately to keep strands from fanning out. Solder the outer wire strand to ground. Solder the inner wire to composite.

Also, I'd recommend spending a lot of time looking in the Electronics 101 forum that we've got here. There are several great videos and other tools that were very useful to me a year ago, and I'm sure you'd find them beneficial as well!

First of all thank you very much for the help, I did wonder if it was as simple as that but didn't really want to try it until I knew it worked, also thank you for the advice on posting and where to find other guides!
