Hi! I was just wondering a few things about making a Wii portable. What type power sources do you use? If you can hook me up with the right type of batteries, that would be appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance!

Hey Mega!
The BitBuilt store has some amazing already made PCBs that I'd really recommend using!
For charging, you can use the USB-C PD Charging PCB, which is where you'll connect your usb-c cable into for charging up to 12V. (On that same board is where you connect you're USB for data)
From that board you can go to the RVL PMS (Power Management System) which is also on the BitBuilt store. This where you'll connect your batteries and wires which'll go to the Wii for power.
For batteries, 18650 batteries is a good choice.

Here are some links to some things you should read up on ;)

Now, this idea seems stupid, but do you think that you can use a touchscreen to possibly emulate the Wiimote in games like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and also the main menu of Portablize Mii?:rothink::rothink::rothink:

JacksonS made a custom solution for that, but he never released it publically. Soon enough the wiimote emulation patch will be able to do that with analog stick controls, if it can't already.

dude you WAY overpaid....

i got 2 wiis like that for $20
Where did you get them? Please send me the link. I haven't ordered the Wii yet because I need to check if the Wii I have in storage still works because if it does, I'm going to save myself some time and hassle and just use that Wii.

Just look at broken wiis on ebay and if you look at the revision guide you can sometimes get a 4 layer board for cheap. Don't be afraid to make an offer on ebay.

If you're using the PMS you should use 18650s. We suggest the Samsung INR18650-35E batteries as they are high capacity, and their labeled capacity is actually what the batteries can store (many cheap sellers on ebay and such will lie about the capacity and say it is well over what it could possibly be).
