Hey there! Just thought I'd share my current Gamecube tinkering using accessories that were sold for Gamecube or widely available elsewhere.
The first few pics are of my BD&A gamecube bag that I just received, along with a Hip Gear controller which came with a 2.6 inch TFT screen (surprisingly playable including smash, maybe not exactly readable for RPGs and too small for Timesplitters!). These are being powered by a 12v talentcell battery pack available at Amazon. Cables to power both originally came with some Intec items (screens, speakers) which had a GC power in, and a barrel connector + GC connector output.
The bonus pic is a similar setup using the Zenith screen and a Gpak case. These have been fun to mess around with while I learn the rest about GC portables and Wiis. Cheers!
