Both my brother and I have the retina version of this same computer, so it has a few extra bells and whistles, but the specs is the same. But I gotta say, it is still a BEAST of a laptop in 2017. It runs anything I throw at it no problem.

On the non retina versions, you can actually remove the Disc drive and replace it with a second 3.5" hard drive. So you could throw in an SSD boot disk and a 2tb and be set.
