Did you sand the edges where you trimmed the board? they look pretty jagged, and there may be some layers shorted together, there is a good chance that the Wii you have here is salvagable

You have several components on the trim edge that have been cut through. Those components need to be removed, and by the rough look of the trim edges they could use a bit more sanding

As a general tip for your next trims, try to keep the trim lines as simple as possible, because it will make sanding so much easier. I normally sand the wii until I have uniform and straight trim line, the problem with your trim is mostly that you have these little indents along the edges of the trim which are very difficult to properly sand down

I don't have pictures but I sanded down a lot more and did some touching up. The 1v line started reading the right amount but the 3.3v is still reading 4k after a lot of sanding.

4k should be fine afaik, on some wiis the resistances can be alot lower than in the guide and they will still work, I had a trim lime that once too.

Deku is correct. There's a lot of variance between trims in terms of the exact resistance values, but if you check the Wii Trim Resistance table submissions you'll see that they follow a 2/3/4 digit pattern that remains consistant across all 4 layer motherboards. Large deviation from the pattern or a single digit resistance reading is cause for further troubleshooting, but 3.3v at 4k is plenty within the acceptable range of the 7k nominal. It's usually only a worry if it drops below 1.5-1k.
