Hey all,
A friend and I are trying to construct a Wii portable. They have a surplus of dead Dualshock 4 controllers, so we took them apart yesterday for portable parts. I attempted to figure out what the joystick pinout was but really struggled as there wasn't much online specific to Dualshock joysticks. According to the official Gamecube joystick pinout, this is what it should look like:
We will probably end up using a joystick breakout board for this.
However, I would still like to know:
- if my diagram is correct
- if it is, then if I have the correct voltage for this joystick
- if anyone else has used Dualshock controllers for portable parts, and if so, what else can we cannibalize from them?
