Question Driver board broken pads

I'm building my first portable, the Ashida, and am very new to soldering. When I got to the driver board I was attempting to take the JST sockets off and in the process ripped out more than a few of the pads I need to solder on

I assume that I'll have to buy a new board, although I would have to put the project on hold for awhile. So I'm hoping there is some way I can salvage it.

If you're able to solder to the components/pads where each line I drew ends, you should be able to salvage it. Good luck!

Yes, please try to salvage this! If you're trying to build a portable then soldering something that small is something you'll have to do anyways. If not, save it for another day when you're more comfortable with it.

Also, be gentle with your hardware!!! You had to have pulled on that pretty hard to rip those traces out. For future reference you really shouldn't have to pull that hard on anything when makin a portable.

As an addon, if you don't care to save the connector, and don't have/don't want to use hot air, I suggest cutting the plastic up with an xacto knife or similar, such that each pin and its attached bit of plastic can be removed individually. You'll tear less pads that way.

Oh, my friend, don't lose heart. This is a detour that must be taken when making a portable device. Unless you damage the chip or component, you can still use it by simply wiring it to these points. The socket you removed only amplifies these points.
