Hey I'm wanting a large screen for my portable and from what I understand you should get a 480p screen since that's the wii's native resolution. Ideally I would have a 10" 16x9 ips screen that takes component as an input (because from what I know that's all the wii outputs) however so far I have been unable to find anything that matches these criteria. I was just hoping you guys could tell me how can I find one, and if what I'm looking for actually exists/is feasible, Thanks!

Best bet are gonna be sites like aliexpress or even ebay if you can find it there. But first look if buydisplay.com has the display you are looking for.

Finding a screen that large with that specific low resolution is highly unlikely. Ones with component input are few and far between, but that shouldn't matter for Wii Portables since the Wii can output VGA with the VGA patch.

I checked out that website you linked and they've got a nine incher that'll work great for me if I can figure out VGA! The only downside is there's no ips however it should (hopefully) work for my purpose thanks! Here's what I've found and from what I can tell it should work https://www.buydisplay.com/9-inch-raspberry-pi-screen-w-hdmi-video-vga-driver-board-800x480

VGA is game changer thanks for the tip! Where can I find out more about the VGA patch and how to wire it up?

Hi !
Each screen is different. To find how to wire the VGA to your screen, you have to test the continuity with a multimeter between the board and the VGA pin on the connector to know which pin is red, which one is blue, etc.
Here is a pinout of a VGA female connector:

To be honest, I’m not sure this is the good one. If someone could confirm it would be great !

Hope this will be useful for you, have a great day.

This will be perfect, thank you!
The VGA Patches are included in RVLoader, and the pinout is included in the Wii Trimming guide.
Thanks for the resources I'll go check them out!
