You actually want *more* solder than less. As @splain said, having more solder on the pins will allow the solder to remain liquid longer as you alternate between sides of the chip. So really you shouldn't use solder wick at all. It might help to remove as much of the original solder as possible and replace it with fresh solder (which will likely have a lower melting point), but that's frankly unnecessary.Agreed. From my own experience in just the past few days the legs on the u10 are VERY fragile. Put a big blob of flux on the u10 and remove as much solder as you can with your solder wick. Then you'll just have to alternate sides of the u10 with your soldering iron until it comes free. It definitely takes a lot of patience.
