Hi so I am a student in high school and as my capstone project for the class I have decided to build an Ashida Wii my teacher liked the idea and I have been wanting to do something like this for a while. Unfortunately when downloading pvloader I came upon an issue with the IOS36-64-v3608.wad not being found I know this issue has been talked about and is in the in depth guide but I am a novice to this and don't really understand how to fix it if anyone has a sure way I would really appreciate it.

You need to use NUSDownloader to download the correct was files. Once downloaded put them on the root of your flash drive and the install should proceed as normal
IOS36-64-v3608.wad, IOS58-64-v6176.wad and IOS80-64-v6944.wad are the wad files you need.

Just select the version of IOS corresponding to the ones I mentioned and make sure to check the Pack WAD button and hit download

Do i have to use wii mod or can I just put the files on the sd card?
Wiimod is a Wii program manager. You need to copy 5 iOS files to the root directory of the SD card where you can find them, and then use the Wiimod app to install them.

Do you have the download link for wiimod cause I’m unable to find it?

Rename the ones that start with wifi in the zip archive to their respective string that rvloader expects, so IOS36-64-v3608.wad, IOS58-64-v6176.wad and IOS80-64-v6944, then place them in the root of your sd card and/or usb drive (doesnt hurt to put them on both). RVLoader should then find the required ioses and should install without any problem.

The post with the uploaded WAD files has been deleted. Several things wrong here:
1. You should *never* install random WAD files that you cannot verify their origin of. Those files were probably legitimate, but still, better be safe.
2. Do not post Wii IOS WADs here. They are the intellectual property of Nintendo and are not to be shared here. Sharing these is against our rules on piracy & the mishandling of intellectual property.

Please keep this in mind going forward. If you need to obtain Wii IOS WADs, you may do this utilizing NUSDownloader, which allows you to legitimately obtain the required IOS modules through Nintendo's servers.
