I was modding my wii into a portable tv so i could use it in a car or a plane (as long i have a 12v battery)
I added the screen which needs the full 12v for the backlight to work. Also had an audio amp connected to 5v near the Gamecube Memory slots.
when i used the original power brick i didn't get power (messured it and didn't have 12v atm) so i connected a power bank that had a 12v 10A output (I used that on a wii before and I didn't have any problems) and there was a bright spark. I removed it but now when i plug it in the led is red but as soon i hit the power button it turns off. The burnt chip was for some voltages i think.
I was now thinking of using an rvl psu to continue my project but wanted to know if there's any replacements and what voltage it was for because if its 1V8 it won't do anything.
