Hello! I'm new to BitBuild. Starting work on a WiiPortable soon, so I'll likely be posting to show work progress as well as discuss design

    Hello all!
I watched Shank's video of the WiiVision just last Tuesday and my burning desire to build things led me to doing a lot of research here and eventually, making this account. I gained a lot of knowledge about the Wii motherboard the past seven days from guides and YouTube videos.

Unfortunately, I am a novice at electronics and using a soldering iron. I also have a very unstable nervous system... so there is no way I can do the work you all do in the work logs and such. Maybe one day when I'm more experienced, I'll have a look at my old Wii's motherboard and consider it again. Regardless, this is a very creative and intelligent community to be a part of with really supportive people here and I'm happy to have joined the ranks.

    Hi Everyone,
My name is Tim and I'm from Baltimore. I recently was given a Classic Retro Gamer as a gift and I was wondering if anyone has any experience modding/hacking them? The device is simple but I imagine it could play some Gameboy games since it has all the buttons needed. If anyone has any experience about modding them please let me know.

    Thanks

    Heyo, I'm Mr. Song
I've been lurking the work logs hard, this is a new account because I wanted a new name for when I start on my own portable and post on my work logs.

Hi, I recently made a raspberry pi handheld as an "intro" to soldering, and I really enjoyed it. I really wanted to do more and more, and then I stumbled across youtube videos about Wii handhelds and I was hooked! I can't wait to start my own project and big thank you to all the helpful people on this website!

Hi Everyone my name is James and I'm an electrical engineer from New York. I'm a long time lurker on the forums and after building a raspberry pi zero game boy I've decided to start building a portable wii. I've already built the voltage regulators and hopefully I can get some software issues fixed before I start trimming. I look forward to talking to you guys and sharing my progress in the future.
