Hello, my name is Arthur,
I found this website through Millomaker (French tech YouTuber).
I want to build a portable Wii because I love technical challenges and want to have a nice portable Wii.
I would like to get some help, for example, to integrate an external HDMI port to connect it to a TV.

Hello! I am a hobbyist looking into getting creating modded hardware for consoles mainly for the Wii u. I'm a completely noob and my dream is to have an oled display for the Wii u gamepad. I don't know alot of this but I do know it is not something you do in 2 weeks since you need to create custom hardware and software (and lots more certainly xd) in order to fit in a custom display into an old console XD. Hopefully here for the long run and learn lots.

Also a pointer, lots of other small handhelds like the gameboys have this already but why not the wii u gamepad? Like why has no one done this already? Is it an impossible feat or is the Wii u so unmainstream? Just a thought xd :(

Hey folks, I’ve always been fascinated by electronics and retro consoles. I recently dived into restoring my childhood SNES and Xbox controller on my new YouTube channel. Any tips for a beginner? What kind of modding is the most satisfying for you?

Hi All, fairly new to the console repair/modding scene. I've done some basic restoration and repairs on consoles including SHARP Famicom, Super Famicom, GameGear, Xbox, PS2, PS3, PS Vita, PSP, gameboy DMG, gameboy advance, 3DS and gamecube.
Ive done mods on gamecube, wii, wiiu, gameboy color, gameboy advance, 3DS, and steamdeck. Nothing custom, just well documented community mods.
I recently got a Panasonic Q which was my holy grail! I'm actually here to see if there are any Q experts here that can give me troubleshooting advice.

Hi,

I join because I would to better understand how RVLoader is working and how its custom IOS modules (WD/WL) could to used to fix non-trimmed Wii bricked because of dead WiFi or bluetooth modules.

RVLoader patches IOS 36, 58, and 80 in order to remove the Wifi and Bluetooth requirements. Source should be found somewhere in here: https://github.com/Aurelio92/RVLoader

You can actually install RVLoader on an untrimmed WIi, change the boot order to autoboot to the Wii System Menu again, then remove the Wifi and Bluetooth modules. But you will still either need homebrew or working modules to do this the first time. Plus you won't get far in the System Menu without Bluetooth

Thanks!

I was not expecting a first answer in the welcome thread, so I created a dedicated one with all my questions in the RVLoader part of the forum

I shared my files here but it requires an advance trim, I’ll help answer any questions you may have pm me anytime. And I’m sure other members will help as well.

Thanks for the kind words! I read your post — it’s awesome! I really wish I had your level of skill… unfortunately, I’ve already broken my PS2 (lol).

I accidentally connected 15V to it, and now it won’t turn on.
Currently I’m working on a fix, trying to locate the faulty component — which is why I posted a detailed description here:

I think my 90006 board is slightly different from the one in the scan — it might be a variant released in the Asian region (Japan/Hong Kong).
