So I was reading over the Wii SP 1.0 and 2.0 work logs to see if I could try and understand how the touchscreen in place of IR was done. From what I understand Jackson trimmed a specific version of a Wiimote down to its core components w/ accelerometer, hooked it up to his custom controller/lcd board, and with the help of his "touch-mii" board and some code written in C he used the x and y coordinates on-screen as controller input through the Wiimote.

I also know that only he and Aurelio has successfully done this.

Something like this is way over my head until I get better at portablizing, but does anyone know if we are any closer to making this easier to do? Like having support for it in BB loader, maybe bypassing the need for a trimmed Wiimote? Jackson posted pics of the touch-me but as far as I can tell didn't release the actual file of the board for others to replicate.

I'm nowhere near being able to do this myself but I'm super curious.
