The wiring isn't the best, there are some case flaws, but it plays great and works!

For my first portable ever, I'm really proud of it.

Here is the final look:

A huge thanks to everyone in this community, I couldn't have done it with out all the sweet documentation and hard work of the BitBuilt team!

I am still thinking of a name for this one, so if you have any suggestions, let me know!

Congrats on finishing your first portable! Are you sure that's a 3.5" screen? Most 3.5" screens are 4:3 and Downing's case is designed for a 5", just curious.

Thanks guys!

@Gman-- yes I'm sure. I had to put a bevel in it for it to fit properly.

This has been a long time coming, but I finally have finished up the new housing for this portable. This N64 needed some tender, loving care so with the help of my new 3d printer and with some new techniques/skills that I've picked up since the completion of this, I present the latest version of my N64 portable.

For some more detail on the differences:

- All buttons (excluding the Dpad) were design myself and 3D printed.
- No more Spagehetti wires.
- Finally has speakers not just the headphone jack.
- Low Battery Indicator circuit
- The case no longer looks like I pooped it out.
- 5in screen
- Can actually change the screens brightness, contrast, etc.
- Buttons no longer wiggle and all are the same height.
- It has a cover on the back for the cartridge slot.
- Charge and Play functionality now actually works
- All internal mounts were designed by me and 3d printed.
- Better color coordination. :awesome:

Did you have to rewire 3.3v & 12v when cut the top corners off?

I know it goes on here but is there a additional rewiring anywhere else on the board

Not if you just do the Rev 1 trim which is what I did.

This is a very beautiful unit. This is probably the most beautiful 3d printed case, but if you were to build another unit, I would work on the cable management, but otherwise, Good job :-)
