Question 5V regulator current rating?

Hi All, I am trying to attach a heating element to the 5V regulator on the controller side. I have successfully drawn about 300mA but I'm scared to go much higher without actually looking inside. I am in a MKDD league right now, and can't afford to mess with my GC for the first time (I'm a newbie!) -- so could anyone tell me how this supply works? I'm wondering how much current I can draw from the 5V regulator that supplies the rumble pack.

why do you need a heating element? what are you trying to do?

I’m trying to de ice my console for arctic use.

jk I’m just making a heated controller I’ve had successful preliminary tests but really need to draw ~1A to make something as effective as I want.
