Hey there again!

I was wondering how I can get 5v of the PMS-lite when I am using a 3.6v 1s2p 18650 power source. My display driver board can be modified to do 5v instead of 12. Would I need a higher voltage battery?

Thanks in advance,
Joe

5v is one of the output voltages on the pms-lite it's used for usb, fan, and lcds

I understand, but how does it supply 5v? And can it supply 5v when I only wired up a 3.6v battery?

That battery is taken care of by a chip that handles the charging and such, the voltage of the battery is passed into the system through this chip, voltages under 3.3v are output by buck converters stepping that system voltage down to 1v 3.3v and so on. There's a chip for 5v that boosts the battery voltage to 5v, does that help?

Thanks! Yeah sorry, I am still quite new to electronics. Just asking so when I get back to the workshop today I can get right into it.
