I wired up the 3ds analog succesfully, but there is something strange with the orientation.

the REAL 3ds analog orientation is to tue right. i mean the conectors are to the right like the pic

with this config the analog is in wrong direction

so i need to correct this because my case is a 3ds xl shell

How are the deadzones and range when hooking sliders straight up like this? Any drifting/centering issues?

All the fuss with RDC's boards isn't strictly necessary?

(I've never had 3ds sliders out of a console to test resistance, but their slim form factor appeals to me)

Well the resistor fixes I presented in the past weren't actually completely functional; because they only applied after a "center point" was established via startup voltage. So after a restart they become useless, even though things appear to be working fine.

I wouldn't trust RDC just based off of what I've heard and my personal experiences with him, and I haven't personally tested his boards either. If they work that's great.

Deadzone issues were only noticeable when the stick was standing perfectly still. Otherwise it works fine for normal range and use, atleast in my experience. And considering how little the stick is actually supposed to stay still, it's virtually unnoticeable when playing a game.

If they both need to be inverted, then swap 3.3v and GND.

Sorry man, I hijacked your thread a bit. I don't have permission to reply on the guide thread, so took advantage you had opened this one.

Keep us posted on whether you have solved your problem!

ready!...

but (always a but) now my problem is the x axis are inverted, because i need to use my 3ds slider to the right (looking at front of it the pinouts are to right).
searching in modretro i read a little about this but i cannot understand very much. there is a fix to 1 inverted axis?

I don't think it's actually possible to only have one axis inverted on the 3DS stick. I feel confident either your orientation is wrong, or your testing method is wrong. Use something like Melee's character select screen to verify. Also, if you could post a video or something, then that would help a lot more.

You can't get it to work at that orientation.
