Intro:
Earlier this year I completed my Ashida Wii Portable (you can see it on my profile). Around 2022, I made my first Raspberry Pi Emulator Portable. It was sort of a kit with a custom 3D printed parts. Now, I've taken what I've learned and I hope to make and finish a project of my own design. As of this post, I've designed and ordered a custom Controller Board that I designed in EasyEDA. Photos of the board deisgn and the parts are below.

I bought all my parts on AliExpress and Amazon, and I ordrerd my custom PCB through PCBWay.

Update 10/30/24:
I've been hard at work over the summer and since the due date is coming up I thought I'd update my worklog!

6/17/24:
I received my custom PCBs from PCBWay, there was a slight error in my PCB design relating to the switches and the internal contacts comparing to the PCB, but running magnet wire from the switch instead of the labeled contact fixes this issue.

7/7/24:
I had then "finalized" the design of my chassis and I printed it and sanded it and filled it with filler primer and Bondo. I would later find out that the power switch and charging port didn't fit in the chassis without heavy modification. As of 10/30/24, I've finished the design completely and fixed all flaws (that I'm aware of), I'm currently rushing to sand and finish the new iteration of the case.

7/25/24:
I tested my PMS and charging board from AliExpress. I also de-soldered some unnecessary surface-mount components to help it fit in my case. It is now much thinner and fits in the chassis very well.

10/27/24:
I test printed the final design of my chassis and optimized it for better 3D printing, I printed everything on my Bambu Lab P1P. The entire portable uses the exact same type of screws which is something that I felt would be very nice for the design. The audio driver board will have to be glued in place, but that's fine because I still haven't perfected the best spot and function for the audio and speaker.
Note: the final case is going to be black, I just have had good print results with the ELEGOO PLA+ Green filament I have.

10/29/24:
I've since wired up the controller PCB and have fixed most of the problems, audio still isn't working but I'm hoping to fix that really soon. The Raspberry Pi recognizes the brain of the controller and my Breakout Board works super well. I just need to wire the shoulder buttons and that will be 100% done. I'm on track to finish in the time limit!
