The idea for this project is to have a flexible device with good battery life and capable of playing fighting games using a button layout based on the Sega Saturn + analog controller, but which also allows other games. The desired look for the console is something close to the look of Anbernic's RG-ARC. In terms of performance, this system is capable of running PS1, N64 and PSP without problems with the exception of the heaviest titles like PSP God of War games.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Atom x5-Z8350 @ 1.44GHz
Storage: onboard 128GB eMMC
Ram: onboard 4GB DDR3L-1600 single channel
Operational system: Batocera linux 39
I/O: 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB3.0, CTIA Standard audio jack, stereo speakers,
SD card slot, WIFI IEEE 802.11 b/g/n + BT 4.0 Connectivity,
Battery: 10000mAh
Controller: Arduino pro micro + Ximput library
eDP to HDMI Adapter
Screen: 5 inch Portable Monitor HDMI 800 x 480 Capacitive Touch Screen LCD Display
Developing the CAD model of the case and the customized Arduino control will be my biggest challenges in this project. I am currently studying 3D modeling with fusion and how to use Arduino's Ximput library. I also plan to print the case using impact resistant resin. I hope I can finish this in time
