    I think I may have solved it but I can't test until finals are done and over. I think I need a resistor on the L+R pot legs of the controller IC. Will test and report back when I can.

    So I am finishing up a portable but I can't seem to get my L + R potentiometers to read correctly. I was checking my readings via GC Controller Test and when they were not being pressed they read at 9-15 (Ohms? not really sure what the programs measure in) and it is enough to register in games...

    You may be right, and I think they are on back order from badassconsoles. You could try posting in the buying/selling section?

    This may be a shot in the dark, but why not clamp it down with a rubber clamp then, once you have sufficient pressure, epoxy it to the board to ensure that the pressure remains constant.
