those are the rgb led neg transistors iirc those were used in an early revision of the pms1 but eliminated in later pms1 revisions ps pictures are an excellent resource :)

check the wii compendium to see if there is anything important there, others have done like this similar, but double check to make sure

just be careful to avoid the nand lines above the gpu and below the cpu you gotta get pretty close to the screw holes

that trim is not going to fit in the gwii case below the cpu and above the gpu you have to trim closer in order to fit beside the batteries

No need the on off switch the PD board includes a power button. maybe you want an aux jack?

there is also not battery level indications or cell balance/ protection, pretty dangerous and chances are the individual cells are not the protected kind

yah you can, youll have to find which value resistor the button you are wanting is using and connect it in line, itll just be a simple case of understanding how the PCB works and replicating its function with new resistors

It looks like C297 is completely gone, it could be of importance as it goes to the Gpu, also the purple u10 wire for the GPU via looks to be stripped a little long and could be shorting. i dont know for sure, but id say with it powered off check for shorts on the voltages lines
