This is wizardry. For the triggers maybe you could have a hall sensor and a tact switch at the end of the travel. I think that’s how DualShock controllers do it.

Well nuggs aren’t usually uniform thickness so you could probably fit at least 1 18650 cell.

I was replying to Retro95s post where he said he was trying to get analog audio out and I said I think you just use PWM. As far as I know, PWM with a filter is as close to analog audio as you can get directly from a Pi.

I would replace the Dpad with the 3DS C stick and put the speaker where the main button is.

I use the 4.3" version and it looks nice. The touchscreen doesn't affect the display but if you have it, it restricts which drivers you can use. There is a version that doesn't have a touchscreen. I do use that driver board and I don't mind aggressive question asking. I am also pretty new here...
