    Release Ps2 voltage regulator board

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I edited the gerber files to exclude the PS logo since some PCB manufacturers won't manufacture boards if they see a logo/trademark they recognize. Hope this helps anybody else who gets bullied by some services *cough* JLC *cough* lol My order is still on the...

Question RVLoader randomly freezing after RVL-DD install

So for some reason, after installing my RVL-DD, I get random freezes in RVLoader, but ONLY RVLoader. Games run perfectly fine, no freezing at all. I've tried to eliminate all possible variables by de-soldering and reinstalling the board twice with different flex cables, swapped the entire wii...

    Worklog Indigo Ashida Build

They were still totally usable with some extra work! just think I got a weird batch lol, probably a one-off situation or maybe I ordered it with the wrong specs haha. I've used JLC for probably thousands of PCBs by now without many issues really other than one single batch of 50~ish boards that...

    Worklog Indigo Ashida Build

I got it printed through 3DSPRO :) Chose their standard SLA white resin for the case + screen mounts, and got everything else done in black resin. Also got their painting service for the case. Only took about a week and a half to get here and costed a total of $71.55 (including tax + shipping)...

    Worklog Indigo Ashida Build

Here are some final photos of my build! Super happy with how it looks! :D I initially had some really odd RVLoader issues going on with random freezing, menu items flickering, etc. Games played fine, no freezing or any issues at all, it was only happing within RVLoader. I tried many...

    Worklog Indigo Ashida Build

So... over the past couple days I really cracked down and finished the portable build! I haven't taken any final photos yet, but I'll update when I do! Below I've added a ton of gut-shots and juicy details throughout my building process :P I didn't really take too many photos of my wiring...

    Worklog Indigo Ashida Build

My triggers are offended :( Jk, obviously I don't recommend what I did, but it's what ended up working for me in my situation. Either my case or my brackets had some weird tolerance thing going on which was causing the triggers to literally not reach the contacts at all (came pretty close, but...

    Worklog Indigo Ashida Build

Starting my first worklog for a portable! I got my hands on this super nice looking case painted in Gamecube-ish Indigo (Pantone 7673C). For day 1 of the project I started soldering up all the stuff for the front half since I was still waiting on my heatsinks & fan to come in. For some...

Guide Wii Undervolting "guide" and stats. (incomplete)

This makes a lot more sense My background is mostly in audio stuff where the the signal current I’m working with is waaaayyy lower, but yeah I definitely get why that’d burn up in a power situation like this. I should’ve engaged my critical thinking a bit more before asking that question hahah...

Guide Wii Undervolting "guide" and stats. (incomplete)

I have a few motherboard revision trims I'm interested in experimenting with undervolting on. I just have a quick question. So after finding stable voltages, I could just add in some fixed voltage dividers (with resistors) on my PMS power lines in the context of an actual build, right? Just want...

Solved Made an oopsie on an OMGWTF trim, still okay?

Thanks for the advice! :) Fixed it up today and everything checks out on the multimeter. The GND pin seems to have just enough trace left for a solid ground plane connection so I left that one alone for now. I’ll just have an extra mm of space in my case now bc of my little accident lol

Question PS2 Slim 77001 battery options

Hi! Thanks for the reply :) I watched a few of the videos you mentioned and they were super informative, definitely understanding batteries a lot more now haha. But yeah, from my rough estimates I've done this weekend it seems like battery life for one of these boards might suck pretty bad on...

Solved Made an oopsie on an OMGWTF trim, still okay?

Accidentally went in a little too close to the nand on this OMGWTF trim. I checked out some nand relocation images and looks like I might've gotten lucky and just need to add back C132 between 3v3 & GND (which appears to just be a decoupling cap?). I was just wondering if there may be any other...

Question PS2 Slim 77001 battery options

Hi! I’m currently planning out some projects with four Ps2 Slim 77001 motherboards (broken drive consoles). I know this revision doesn’t really have much trim documentation so the plan so far is to make sort of a mini laptop with an untrimmed board, a 7 or 8 inch display, internal FMCB card +...

    BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

Hi! I'm m0thm4n. I own a small modular synth business and build guitars / other audio gear, but I got my start in electronics by modding consoles. Recently I've been getting back into modding and look forward to being part of the community again :)
