Ok, so bad news, I hooked up the pms lite to the trimmed wii and it started smoking. Don’t know which bit, but I’m worried. Also, should the power button be doing anything to the led on the pms without a wii connected?

The wiring is very thin because it’s just for testing. I click quickly and hold the power button without the Wii connected and it does nothing to the led. Is that a problem?
Use thicker wire 22 awg stranded. Upload better picture of the pms

Here are the best images I can get at the moment. May come back with more later. The button isn’t doing anything, do I need the wii connected for that to work? Also, do you think it was the thinness of my wife’s that made it smoke? Or (I’m guessing) my entire trim/wii is dead.

Those pictures did not help but I would check the connections again some look like they’re shorting like charge/gnd. Also use thicker wire, another thing is before you connect anything to the wii clean pms then connect battery to it test voltages make sure your getting the correct voltage on every pad.

Okay, I have an RVK-001 board and these were the resistances I measured. I'm sorry about all the listings. Will delete some of them. Are these normal and to what grit sand paper should I go down to?

I don’t remember what numbers I had in my trim but I know they weren’t that low on the 3.3v. Use 1000 grit

Dude you need to clean up your wiring big time. Also the source of your short might be the RVL-NTC, the one blob is quite suspicious.

Lastly, magnet wire is not thick enough to supply power to the Wii. It's never going to turn on even for a moment. You need 22AWG stranded wire for that.

Wait if I installed the rvl nrc while batteries were in could it fry the wii because I know installing a thermister while batteries are in can damage it

Soldering anything while batteries are connected is asking for trouble, but hopefully that's not the case. It's impossible to really know for sure

I’m waiting on components, (4-6 weeks) and so until then, there’ll be no activity on this thread from my end. I’ll update when the situation changes but until then don’t give up on this thread. Just letting everyone know.

I assembled my first PS2portable, everythink works good, but there is no charging. First up was this Charging Decoy Detector.View attachment 24211
5A 9V,12V,20V I though there was a problem with it, and I mounted the PMS-PD 2 and id did't help. 15V voltage is present but there is still no charge

Sorry for not posting in a new thread. But I'm in despair, and there are no rights to create new topics.
Tell someone please
You kind of said it yourself, you should make your own thread, this is not the right place to ask about your own project. Good luck!
