After a month of recreating the Aran Wii to fit a 4.3" IPS screen instead of a 5", the Aran Wii Mini is born! This design is heavily influenced off of @Wesk 's original Aran Wii design in which he was kind enough to give me the permission to recreate since the design is not open source yet. Everything was 3D designed from scratch from the ground up to fit my specific internals since everything had to shrink in size.
Features:
- 4.3" 800x480 IPS Screen
- VGA Patches (Thanks @Aurelio !)
- RVL-PMS
- Stereo Speakers using Pam8803 (my custom amp stopped working last minute)
- Switch Sticks
- GC+ 1.0
- 3D printed case and buttons
- 3.7V 6700mah batteries for about 2 hours battery life
- Type C charging port
DA NOODZ
Probably not the cleanest internals you've seen...
Thank you for everyone's help with this project. This is my first 3D printed portable and there are a few things I'm not too proud of like having to glue in the tacts since I didn't leave enough space for mounts, using hot glue in general, and having to rip out my custom audio amp due to inconsistent issues.Other than that, I think it came out pretty decent!
