Ok so I’ve been in contact with Gman about this and I wanted to see if anyone else could assist, the wiipms board is 100% working properly. However, when I connect it to the Wii motherboard, the voltage shows up but quickly shuts back off (probably because of a short somewhere). I know it may be almost impossible for y’all to help me figure out exactly where the short is. I measured the resistance in the voltage points on the Wii :
(3.3v reads 8.6 k Ohms)
(1.15v reads 45 ohms)
(1.0v reads 220 ohms).
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

I later found the solution: the alligator cables where not thick enough to handle the current coming from the batteries (:

Honestly those resistances sound fine. Are you measuring those with the PMS connected?
The resistance was measured without the pms connected

And the voltage turns off for all WiiPMS regulators yes (even the ones not connected)
But when the wiipms isn’t connected to the Wii, it reads fine

cleaning up that spot your mentioned rn

what kind of main power supply you use, if the power supply can not supply enough amp less than 2A, the pms will automatic shut off,i think no shorts on your wii, because the resistance is very correct one

if you use 18650 battery ,it is better to use more than 2 pcs, because some battery can not support more than 3 A

If the battery is relatively new one, your power supply is enough,i think. if you have 20 ohms -50 ohms resistor, you can connect pms 1v and 1.15v to the resistor , check pms shut down or not
if you have a lot of time and interest in this project, you had better arrange an adjustable power supply, thus you can check the input amp and votage any time to avoid frying the wii

Yes! Ok so progress, when I disconnect the 3.3v cable, the 1.5v and 1.0v are outputting the correct voltage. So the wiipms stays on when only connecting 1v and 1.15v. So this means something is wrong with when I connect the pms to the 3.3v? Any ideas?

your wii 3.3v is 8k, it is impossible to shut down unless pms 3.3v have problem,if c9 of pms 3.3v is not connected to the pms board it can result in voltage drop.

Where on the board is C9? I bought this one already assembled

from outlook,it is no problem, you can check continuity by multimeter
Ok Just checked the C9, it shows 18.85 mega ohms. What else do you think could be causing the problem? By the way, thank you and thanks Mr Cheese for helping me rn

my acknowledge about electronic is very limited,my final method for you is to change ground wire to thicker one

I'd say the wires look a little thin, so the pms probably thinks the batteries are dying

thanks guys, I’ve got some 22 awg wire on the way I’m going to use instead, I’ll keep y’all updated

Yeah 22awg is the best for power and ground. Anything less can get fucky, we should probably add that to the PMS store page.
