Over the past couple of days me and my family have been going though our attic. Going though so many boxes I eventually found a box with a ton of old game consoles. One that caught my eye is a very slim Sega Genesis portable console. Before this I was thinking of what I could do with a raspberry pi zero. So I thought it would be a good project to attempt to make a full fledged raspberry pi zero portable.

In this thread I will be displaying my work log on the project. Hope you enjoy

This is my new account since my old one is way to old and I forget my log in information. So this is my new account (hint : joined : today)

My progress so far will be posted later today

I was thinking to myself "why would you ruin a perfectly good Genesis?" but then I looked up the portables and that is a PERFECT candidate for shoving a Pi0 in there. Best of luck; I look forward to seeing your work.

Almost One :)
Hello.

You might try looking for parts on Ebay rather than from Adafruit. Chinese parts may seem sketchy, however I have had no problems with them and it is pretty clear that Adafruit products are at a very premium price.

yeah I was thinking about that cause i dont want the 30$ shipping fee, and everything is very expensive, thanks!

I bought some rubber tact switches from adafruit for a shitload of money. And parallel to that I bought some very cheap ones from china (ebay). Guess what... The branding and everything on these buttons are the exact same as on the Adafruit switches. They ARE the same buttons, even in the same package. But from Adafruit they were 6x the price!
If you can, buy from China... I don't think it is always better, but at least better than Adafruit.
