My first 3d printed ps2 portable. I’ve been working on this design on and off since June, I’m a complete beginner on 3d printing/designing. This is not the final design, I did print a lot of individual pieces to make sure they fit and I did a full test print, I’m currently fixing some issues I had with it.

I had the hardest time with the shoulder buttons but thanks @Benge I finally figure out a solution that works for me, I also want to thank him for releasing his Ps vita models although I didn’t use them in this portable I did use his joy con models to help me with my standoffs.

Nice work! I see you will be using the mini PS2 controller boards from China. If I’m not mistaken, they do not work with switch sticks natively and would require a micro controller. I have a few of those mini PS2 controller boards and have yet to test myself but I read somewhere that they require 10K pot joysticks or 3DS sliders.

Thanks I had them working a while ago and they seem fine, but thanks for the info I’ll see if they still work if not I’ll buy a cheap controller and use that board instead

huh, you had switch sticks working just fine? That’s interesting, another member on these forums somewhere said they only worked with 10K joysticks if I’m not mistaken. Would be awesome if they do work just plug and play. Thanks for the feedback, looking forward to more progress!

I made the shoulder buttons and did a test print, it needs a bit of adjustment but so far it looks nice and it’ll work.

Quick update before I print the full case and start assembling the ps2. I test printed a whole bunch of pieces to make sure they fit properly.

I finished assembling the top piece just need to solder everything in place, Ive also decided to go with the white buttons so a all white ps2p and with 7 color led mod of course. I had to do a bit of prep work on shell in order for the shoulder buttons to fit properly. Also started on bottom piece I was able to solder on my charge board and fan to pms.
