I'm not following. The only way to wire the cartridge slot up if you cut off the leads is to wire to the RCP, PIF, and CPU I believe.
right, i wouldn't know that myself, however, if it was possible i'd assume it wouldn't be as bad as rcp wiring. since we all know board bending is better we'll just stick to that..lol ill drop the rcp talk.I would assume that some will have vias to the backside but not all (but I really don't know, haven't looked into it). Either way it's going to be a tedius, easy-to-mess-up relocation, and will only save 2mm-4mm more than what the bend can accomplish.
Realistically the entire left half of the board (CPU traces) could be redesigned as a flex and we could chop that space off. Same with the cartridge slot, both could be incorporated into one flex that would shrink the board a significant amount.crazy idea... remake the whole board as a flex, then we can just bend the flex to our designs (jk, ofc)
