Advances are being quickly made with the Wii, and while console modders across the forums haven’t gotten the board down to it’s smallest yet, Gman has proven that bigger can definitely be better.
A RVK-01 Wii motherboard, 5″ screen, 5600 mAh batteries, and a drive replacement all packed into one beautiful enclosure is what you get when you ask for the definition of simple beauty. This fully portable Nintendo Wii system, made by Gman, is proof that even the newest consoles are able to be trimmed down and still work with 100% compatibility.
This console pushed the Wii to its known limits of the day, and even though the board is now known to be cut smaller, Gman wrapped his console up in a nice little package. Even though smaller units can now be produced thanks to the cutting edge in portablizing techniques, Gman’s unit currently holds the record for being the world’s smallest at the time of the publishing of this article.
In his finished projects thread on the forums, Gman was quoted as saying,
“Let this be the first of many!”
With that simple statement, we can only assume he will be producing more, maybe even smaller, units in the future. We look forward to the innovative advances that will be coming over the next few months!
