Hecking Covid-19 happened and then I dun fucked up on jobsite and nearly took myself out of the comp twice, and I just moved house again but FUCK ME I AM FINISHING THIS TIME! I have all the parts sitting in bags, so gimmie a couple days to buy new tools and throw a case design together and I'll have something to show for it.

I was about to do this the hard way, but then I found the lost box that contained the packet of memes the Pizza Lord himself bequeathed upon me when they first released. Blessed be his name, and flavourful his sauces.

I had to go to Bunnings and buy a dremel, so I'll do the other relocations and chop it tomorrow.

Update: My dumb ass managed to hit the 1.8v tantalum cap by the RAM during trimming, but Number 3 is still alive!

The test wiring isn't pretty, but it works. Gets into sysmenu and everything. So far I've relocated the NAND, U10, BT, MX chip, and the 1.8v cap. Next is USB, U-Amp and a GCDual with Wii compatible firmware for better scaling (edit: fuck that, too much bullshit going on). Sadly that screen is only 320x240, but I do have a 640x480 one on the way.

I'll show the full noods once everything is in place.

Ignore the shitty epoxy job, I used 60 minute set instead of 90 second by accident and it spread out way too much and then got baked a bit by hot air. I was trying to go for a Gman level wire arrangement, but my solid core just wan't playing ball and I cracked the shits and gave up. Kinda proud of my CMOS battery mount solution tho, those replacement GBC cart batteries are perfect for this. The MX stacking job does make the board a little tall, but I'll do it better next time. Now I just have to take final measurements and do the case design. I might actually finish this on time!

I'm trying, I really am, but I don't know if I'll finish this on time. I feel like I'm going to be a day or two late, but I'm gonna keep going and hope for the best. Yeeting myself off that ladder did me no favours....

I did a lot of test prints to get these stupid controls to work, and the sticks turned out to be way more trouble than they're worth. I have the triggers, screen/volume controls, and the USB-C port left to work out, then I have to put errything together into a case design and print the thing. Easier said than done.
