Deep South Fried Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup white flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black peppercorn
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 lbs of chicken
  • 2/3 cup of lard
Instructions
  • Cut the chicken into strips
  • Put to buttermilk in a bowl
  • Put the flour, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and peppercorn in a big zipper bag and shake vigorously to mix it up
  • Dip your chicken in the buttermilk a couple pieces at a time
  • Put those dipped strips into the dry mix zipper bag and again shake it like a Polaroid Picture
  • Place the strips on a plate or something while you repeat the last two steps until all the chicken is covered
  • Put your lard in a deep frying pan and heat it on a medium high heat, until it's around 190° C
  • Carefully cook my chicken in the lard, keep turning it over so it gets an even gold colour
  • After approximately 23 minutes it should be done and ready to eat!

Italia Creme Torte

Ingredients
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks soft unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 egg whites
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 cup toasted fine chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup angel flake shredded coconut
Instructions
  • Setup 2 9 inch cake pans by cutting parchment paper to fit each pan, and then grease the top of the parchment paper
  • Sift together your cake flour, salt, and baking soda together in a large bowl, put it to the side
  • Blend 1 1/2 cups of the sugar, and all the butter together until it's light and fluffy
  • Add an egg yolk, and mix it into the sugarbutter completely.
  • Repeat this last step with the remainder of the egg yolks
  • Add 1/3 of the dry ingredients mix and 1/3 cup of the buttermilk to this mixture, then carefully blend until fully incorporated
  • Repeat
  • Repeat Again
  • Add the vanilla extract and toasted walnuts into the matter, and mix thoroughly
  • In another bowl, whip the egg whites, adding the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar slowly while whipping, until it gets nice and puffy but not dried out
  • Now carefully fold 1/3 of the egg white mix into the cake batter, until fully incorporated
  • Repeat this step
  • Repeat it again
  • Evenly divide this mixture into the 2 cake pans you set up at the start
  • Bake until golden brown, usually between 28 and 34 minutes, at 176° C

Creme Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
  • 8 oz creme cheese
  • 8 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
  • 3/4 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tablespoon almond extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar sifted

Instructions
  • Beat the creme cheese, butter, and vanilla and almond extracts together until creamy
  • Add 1 cup of sifted powdered sugar to the mix and blend on low until incorporated
  • Repeat this
  • Repeat it again
  • Repeat one final time for the last cup
  • Now blend it on high until it gets nice and smooth.
  • Now put it on the Italia Creme Torte carefully, or whatever you want it for

these filled cookies are the best. they are super easy to make and can be filled with pretty much whatever you want. one time i made a batch and split the dough into 4 hunks and my parents, my sister and I each filled our cookies with whatever we wanted then we each ate one of each cookie and chose who's flavor was the best. i stuffed Rolos and Heath bits into mine.

edit: run-on sentences are my specialty
