Love the wii for its large library of games + VC, love the DSI's clamshell form factor

hence why i decided to use it as my inspiration for this handheld;

its went through a lot of design changes, trying to get everything to line up perfectly with the game cube controller (I'm using original gc controller hardware, not GC+ 2.0 as I'm relatively new to electronics and figured this should be somewhat easier), so keeping in mind that buttons and analogues have to line up perfectly with the original GC controller has been a hassle to say the least.

specs include;
-5" 640x480 screen
-Bitbuilt stock cooling kit
-RVL PMS board
-ripped USB C charging board
-10,000mah li-po battery
-Stock game cube controller board + components

ill add more updates as to how the case making process is going down the line

wont get all parts needed till may, so ill post about case progress till then;

didn't exactly print out as expected, it printed out with holes, buttons didn't exactly line up, etc

i initially attempted to cut the holes to make em larger so buttons would fit, but that turned out VERY messy, so i vouched to just Frankenstein it with an actual game cube controllers front shell

after alot of sanding, adding filler, spraypainting etc, its turned out like this;

still needs more sanding + spray paint, but happy with results thus far

next update ill show ideas for the hinge mechanism

quick update; all parts needed to finish the case making process are printed!

some of the plastics warped from heat, will need some adjustments but overall im happy with it all
(par the thickness), which should be fine for my first handheld
